Class C16 - Little Joe

 

Steam train, Shunter (Switcher), American. Reproducing a prototype of nr 98 of the Class 16, belonging to “Baltimore and Ohio” Railway.

The "Baltimore & Ohio" Railroad Company also had in service in 1912 four Shunters (Switchers) which were used in the industrial area of the port of Baltimore.

They were all originally Loco tenders built by the Baldwin Locomotive Co and used oil as fuel.

In 1926 two of them were transformed from oil burning into coal burning and a tender added  for the coal and water.

The other two Locomotives, remained in service as originally built in 1912, with numbers 97 an 98, these numberings were reproduced on the model train.

 

 

Gearing all fully functioning, and well detailed finishings, and  working front headlight.
