This is the pseudo-American version of the classic Italian tank-loco class 835 of the FS.

Looking at the details of the 865, rear and front footplates were added, buffers removed, and a central headlamp added on the boiler, and a bell added on top of the boiler …. yhus making an all Stars and Stripes US tank-loco
