The first production of European wagons is thanks to a cooperation with TRIX in 1961, therefore Germany is the first Eu country that received a dedicated selection national wagons.

As with Italian trains, even for the Germans it is very much evident the discrepancy between high numbers of produced locomotives and low freight wagons production.
