Electric Locomotive FS E 646 (2nd Series)

Locomotive type E646 of the FS.

Wheel arrangement Bo+BO+Bo. A reproduction of the prototype with rounded cab fronts, recently placed in service on the national network, with its high power and speed, for use in hauling heavy express trains. The model is like the original with two cabs articulated and joined in the centre with a rubber joint. It has automatic inversion of the lights, and by means of a switch, it could either be powered from the wheels or by overhead pickup (with double pick up strip for high speeds)

Electric Locomotive FS E 646 (2nd Series) for the Treno Azzurro (Blue Train)

Electric Locomotive E 646 035 of the FS (2nd series). The prototype of this locomotive in 1962 was painted in blue and light blue the colours of the “Treno Azzurro", to which it was assigned for duty.

The model has meccanical and estetical identical to the 1458/1 model, differing only in the faothfull reproduction of the livery of this specic train.
